Hello everyone, I'd like to share some insights on how to draw trees during our landscape drawing sessions. Please refer to this image as we go through the step-by-step analysis together.
● Basic Structure of Branches and Trunks:
Firstly, it's important to establish the structure of the trunk and main branches. The main trunk is thicker and gradually tapers into smaller branches. In the bottom-left corner, you can see some simple exercises of trunks and branches. These lines help us understand the basic form of trees.
● Simplification and Arrangement of Leaves:
Leaves can be simplified into large, medium, and small clusters. Divide these clusters into light and dark sides based on lighting. Some overly complex shapes can be integrated together, as demonstrated in the tree on the top-right.
●Representation of Leaf Texture:
After dividing leaf clusters into light and dark colors, add strokes on top. You can choose the direction of the strokes yourself. Divide the strokes into three layers: light, mid-tone, and dark. Gradually decrease the size of strokes, as shown on the right side.
I hope these explanations and techniques help you understand how to depict trees. If you have any questions about drawing methods or specific subjects you'd like to see, feel free to leave a comment or message me. Happy drawing!
